The Stansbury Mountains
Tooele County, Utah

This mountain range is at the western edge of the Tooele Valley, southwest of the Great Salt Lake. Rising from the Great Salt Lake Desert, the Stansbury Range functions as an important watershed for parts of Tooele County. Snowpack in the Stansbury can be amazingly generous. The Stansbury Range is home to the Deseret Peak Wilderness Area. The following photos are provided by Jim Drysdale.

Highest Point: Deseret Peak, Elevation 11,031 ft. (3,362.25 meters)
Nearest Town: Grantsville, UT
Access: Interstate 80 west from Salt Lake City, State Road 138 to Grantsville
