Hot Creek
Canyon
Nye County, Nevada
Hot
Creek Canyon cuts through the Hot Creek Range west of Ely, Nevada
and the Lunar Crater area. A number of Ranches occupy the canyon,
as well as plenty of old rock structures. Through the canyon flows
a small stream, Hot Creek. We didn't take the time to test the waters
to see if the creek lived up to its name as most of it appeared to
be on private property. To pass through the canyon in a vehicle, you
must open and close a number of gates on the road. As with all such
gates, please respect the fact that you are passing through someone's
property from which they earn their livelihood--make sure you close
the gate behind you.
