Goshute
Cave
Elko County, Nevada
Lately, caves
have been getting some bad publicity due to some unfortunate accidents.
If you're like us, you love adventure, but you're not too fond of the
idea of being dead. So with that in mind, we can tell you that, yes,
we did take children with us and, yes, everyone survived. Travel at
your own risk. The most dangerous part of this adventure was the hike
up the mountainside to the opening. See the bottom of this page for
location information.

in the cave entrance.

View across the valley from the entrance.
Below, a series
of self-explanatory photos from inside Goshute Cave:

A few more from
outside:

Here's the dangerous part.

The really dangerous part (just kidding).

Looking north.

This guy rode his ATV here all the way from Twin Falls, Idaho... His
dog is half coyote.
Where is Goshute
Cave? Look on your Nevada Gazetteer for the Goshute Range in eastern
White Pine and Elko Counties. Then, ask around. The grotto keeps directions
to itself for important reasons, not the least of which is your safety.
