Three
Peaks
Iron County, Utah
Three Peaks, just a
few miles northwest of Cedar City, is well known these days by the off-road
enthusiasts who gather here for rock-crawling events. Development has
reached the base of this small range, and parks have been provided for
residents in the county who enjoy a trip out for some peace and quiet,
a picnic, or to watch the sunset. It is ideal for all of the above. Three
Peaks is also ideal if your daughter has an assignment in school to do
some nature photography. We have spent plenty of time here and, on each
visit, we see something new and interesting.
Off the beaten path, the Three Peaks area is a fine display of Great Basin flora. The diversity is as broad as you'll find anywhere, and it's all within very convenient distance from our home. Roads are good, and the kids love to play here.
